INTERSECTION CAR ACCIDENT LEAVES 1 DEAD, 2 SERIOUSLY INJURED
A simple drive last night turns into a deadly car accident after a 72-year-old woman died in a three-car crash at Trinity and Garden Lakes Boulevards. According to Tampabay.com, George Kuruvilla, of Trinity, was stopped at a stop sign facing south on Duck Slough Boulevard. 18-year-old Jacob A. Davis, of Odessa, was heading east on Trinity Boulevard in a Mitsubishi Eclipse. Heather M. Brandon, 23, of Land O' Lakes was stopped at a stop sign facing north on Garden Lakes Boulevard. The crash happened when Mr. Kuruvilla traveled south across Trinity Boulevard directly into the path of Jacob Davis's vehicle. The automobiles collided and Mr. Kuruvilla's vehicle was pushed into Heather Brandon's car.
Sadly, Mr. Kuruvilla's passenger was pronounced dead on the scene. Mr. Kuruvilla was taken to Bayfront Medical Center in serious condition. Jacob Davis is also in serious condition at Community Hospital in New Port Richey. Heather Brandon had minor injuries and was not hospitalized.
This accident should remind us of the left-right-left rule when pulling into intersections. Before entering the intersection, always look to your left, then to your right, AND THEN TO YOUR LEFT AGAIN to make sure the roadway is clear.
